Schools Closed in Balochistan and Swat Due to Bad Weather

Heavy rains have destroyed many schools in Balochistan, causing the caretaker government to close them.

School closures will be in effect in Balochistan for a week, according to a government notification issued on Friday.

Several areas in the province have been severely damaged by the recent spell of heavy rain, including Gwadar, Chaman, Kech, and others.

A record-breaking downpour of 168mm in one event made headlines in the coastal city of Gwadar, which shattered previous rainfall records. In February, 38mm of rainfall fell within a 24-hour period.
